The Troubadour

Welcome to The Troubadour

'With more soul than a millipede wearing size 17 boots, ceilings and walls strewn with the instrumental heirlooms of a bygone bohemia, this 50s café screams throw-back. Successfully and audaciously blending 50s coffee bar, wine bar, club, music venue and breakfast bar with an easy smoothness, this jazz haven is the cornerstone of Old Brompton Road, which has refreshingly resisted the modern humdrum of high street homogeny. Comfort and conviviality ooze as you can sup European classic wine offerings or New World fare, nurse a hot chocolate or bury your face in an omelette big enough to swallow you whole.' Alex Homer

Our wine shop & wine bar is now open. We do regular wine tasting evenings, which are informative and great fun. To find out more please go to

The Troubadour is a proper café. The last 50s coffee house in Earls Court with a proud history as a low temperature centre of courtesy, peace and artistic energy.

One review called us "the best eatery West of Big Ben", and we are pretty proud of our menu, which is served from 9am til midnight 7 days a week. Downstairs is the Club where Jimi Hendrix, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan and Paul Simon all played in the '60s. Although now a slightly bigger venue, with its great programme of live music and poetry, the club remains an intimate space where artists give their best. The Club is also available for private parties up to 120 people.

If you don't want to go home after a party or gig at The Troubadour Club, or maybe you want a night out in central London then you can reserve the Garret, which can sleep up to four.

And finally, if you are looking for a light and airy space for a private party or to exhibit art of any sort then check out our gallery, for any occasion.
