Event / Performance Info

ANNA SINFIELD - Started two years ago Anna Sinfield has raced to quick recognition, already being described as having “poetic licks far beyond her years”. Anna’s spent her time gigging all throughout the UK but mainly in London, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire still young and raring to go. “Anna’s songs are really catchy and have a sound that is so fresh and so new to the current music scene that it’s going to be easy to get her name out there”. Planning an EP launch for the New Year and has a line of merchandise out. Having just finished touring the UK she is set to be doing many festivals and gigs in the following months. She has had record label interest but decided to go it alone for a bit longer. Her publicity has stretched from many different magazines/fanzines, radio stations (BBC plus more) and she has also performed in contexts of competitions which she has won as she “impressed the judges with her composition Broken Hearted Song and was crowned the winner of Pop Luck 2008” and has also recently made it through the auditions to the first round of Live and Unsigned, this competition is still running. She’s also played on the stages of grimy pubs to 300 seated theatres and fields of ten thousand punters. To understand Anna you might imagine a park in London, a single bit of countryside in the city, a picnic rug and an expressive, elfin like girl telling people the stories she’s accumulated and poetized in her mind and that’s Anna. Though as much of a simple story teller she is as one review said: “Anna is quickly making herself known and in a big way”.

YUSUF AZAK - www.myspace.com/yusufazak
Yusuf Azak is a folk/acoustic musician originally from Aberdeen but now based in Glasgow.
Having played in several bands Yusuf started writing solo material over the last two years and has performed across Scotland, citing influences such as Bob Dylan and Nick Drake. Last year seen the release of two EPs, 'Gazelle' and 'Light Procession', which were well received and both received airplay on BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio Scotland. After a successful string of summer shows last year, he also made his first festival appearance at Belladrum. Yusuf will be playing throughout the UK in 2009 and is currently recording his debut album due for release in August.

IZO FITZROY & THE RIGHT ROYAL BASTARDS - We are a soul driven act, with unusual satirical lyrics.
We originated in Glasgow but we have now moved ourselves down to London and are picking up a regular fan base down here. I could ensure that atleast 40 people would come down to the Troubadour as it is a regular among friends etc.

JUROJIN - Jurojin are a London-based heavy rock/ world music fusion group formed in early 2008. Having recently toured with American rockers Sevendust, this spring they are taking a slight step back and performing stripped down acoustic sets in order to bring more emphasis to the Indian-infused rhythms and haunting melodies that have been recently shaping their sound more and more. Featuring Tabla, Santoor, as well as special guests, they will perform new material as well as previewing tracks from their debut album, due on their own Majestic Elder Records in early June.
